Professor Branka Ristic completed her studies at the Academy of Music in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. and at Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome. Since 2004 Professor Ristic taught at the School of Music in Split and at the Musical Academy “Ino Mirkovic” in Lovran. She is currently working as a lecturer and a visiting professor at the Accademia Internazionale di Musica in Taranto, Italy. She is the author of a study “Italian School of Bel Canto Singing (2002).”
Among Professor Ristic’s students there are 54 soloist singers, who have graduated from her studio. Many of the graduates have been engaged in performing activities at Croatian National Theatre in Split. As a professor of Musical School as well as a professor of Musical Academy, she has organized a number of concerts and competitions in her native Croatia and abroad. Her students won over 40 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 5 third prizes throughout countries of former Yugoslavia. She has organized and supported 37 humanitarian concerts in the country and abroad (Italy, Switzerland, Austria) between 1991 and 1994.
