Vocal Program

Vocal program is a unique opportunity for singers to explore their creative and versatile potential in a beautiful, friendly and encouraging environment.
Participants from different countries will share their experience, skills and visions on various types of vocal performance, composers, repertoire, styles and teaching methods. Activities offered during the festival allow musicians to open their minds and to test their performance skills in different settings, which will become a irreplaceable contribution to their developing musicianship.

Kenneth Kiesler Conducting Intensive

Six conductors will be invited to participate in the inaugural year of this special new program from August 1st through August 11th.
The six participants will conduct a public concert on August 10th.
Four auditors will be accepted

The program will help students develop their improvising skills through individual and group sessions using standard jazz repertoire. Open to all instruments and voice.

Strings Program

Program for String instruments has been brought to Music in the Alps by Professor Olga Yanovich. It has featured performance possibilities, lessons and chamber music coaching, quartet practice sessions. Working on the repertoire, skills, including collaboration and solo performance and mentoring students during the festival has been its primarily focus. Cultural activities, as excursion in the area and to Salzburg, attendance of various concerts added to unforgettable experience in the Alps.

Piano Program

Piano Program at the “Music in the Alps” is an opportunity for musicians to enjoy their performing experience, as well as preparation for it. Various activities are offered to sharpen professional skills, enhance stage experience and provide participants with the opportunity to collaborate in various instrumental and/or vocal settings and on various style of music.

Chamber Music/Accompanying

Pianists are welcome to join extensive accompanying program led by Professor Alina Kozachenko. Primarily goal of this program is to introduce advances requirements in accompanying to the pianists and train them to face various tasks, while collaborating with instrumental and/or vocal soloists.
Program includes coaching, lessons, featuring different techniques to improve on sight-reading, transposition, working in the choral conducting or symphonic conducting class.

“Rising Stars”

The “Rising Stars” summer music course is held during the 2018 International Festival “Music in the Alps” in Austria from July 31st to August 19th. It is designed for students aged 17 and under.
Young musicians will be able to see the world from a different perspective and deepen their musical knowledge and skills.
